The Powerful and Sharp New Ram Heavy Duty Trucks

The Ram truck legacy is rooted in toughness. Vans and trucks carrying the Ram badge have consistently ranked among the most powerful options on the market for decades. Their reputation for durability, reliability, and strength have garnered the brand its own division within the Fiat-Chrysler Auto Group.

The newest heavy-duty Ram trucks represent the biggest and baddest trucks in the Ram fleet with innovative smart interiors and powertrains that provide military-grade opulence. The professional and courteous staff at i.g. Burton Berlin Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram have prepared some of the best highlights of the Ram heavy duty line of trucks around Ocean Pines, Lewes and Millsboro.

Heavy-Duty Lineup

The Ram truck heavy duty lineup consists of the Ram 2500 and the Ram 3500. Both trucks are available with either the legendary HEMI® powered V8 gas engines or the brutal Cummins® turbo-diesel engines.

The Ram 2500 is available in six different trim levels; Bighorn, Tradesman, Limited, Laramie, Laramie Longhorn Edition, and the Power Wagon. While the Bighorn and Tradesman are noted for their comfy yet business-focused set of features, the Limited and Laramie models are luxury trim levels with premium materials, finishes, and top-tier technology options. The Power Wagon is a unique, but highly coveted trim model around Salisbury MD, offering the best off-road capability in its class while maintaining a refinement suitable for the jobsite and everyday driving.

The Ram 3500 is available in the same set of trim levels, with the exception of the Power Wagon. There is no Power Wagon offered in the new Ram 3500 lineup. Stepping up to the Ram 3500 model provides the option of dual-wheeled rear axles (also known as a dually axle).

Heavy-Duty Capabilities

The Ram 2500 offers best-in-class diesel towing capacity of 19,780 pounds and a massive payload of over 4,000 pounds. The 6.4-liter HEMI® V8 engine is rated as the most powerful gas-powered engine in the segment at 410 horsepower.

The Ram 3500 is an absolute beast. It is available in configurations offering over 1,000 lb-ft of torque and many models are capable of towing over 35,000 pounds. The payload for the gas-powered Ram 3500 is 7,600 lbs. With numbers like these, there is very little competition on the planet, period.
